Vitamin B3 (Niacin)
Niacin is composed of two structures: nicotinic acid and nicotinamide. There are two co-enzyme forms of niacin: nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD) and nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate (NADP). Both play an important role in energy transfer reactions in the metabolism of glucose, fat and alcohol. NAD carries hydrogens and their electrons during metabolic reactions, including the pathway from the citric acid cycle to the electron transport chain. NADP is a coenzyme in lipid and nucleic acid synthesis. (from wikipedia)
Niacin Vitamin B3
Also known as nicotinic acid, niacin is an essential nutrient, positioned at the core of NAD/NADH and NADP/NADPH, which are major redox-active "electron storage" compounds. One or both of these "redox pairs" is involved in every major biochemical pathway. Suggested Use: As a dietary supplement, 1 capsule two or three ti..
Niacinamide
Niacinamide is the form of niacin that circulates in the bloodstream and is needed for the synthesis of energy (ATP), the activation of folate and the regeneration of glutathione, a critical component of the body’s endogenous antioxidant network. Niacinamide and niacin are the two forms of vitamin B3. Niaci..
No-Flush Niacin
Provides inositol hexanicotinate, a compound of nicotinic acid (niacin) with inositol. Taken orally, the niacin releases slowly, thereby minimizing the likelihood of "niacin flush". Though chemically linked to inositol, the niacin in this formulation is highly bio-available.* Suggested Use: As a dietary supplement, 1 ca..
