Anti-mutagenic, Anti-tumorigenic, Anti-carcinogenic Phytonutrient Complex
Numerous studies have revealed powerful anticancer benefits from plant phytochemicals which generally fall into one of three categories: phytonutrients that block metabolic activation of carcinogens, those that prevent the formation of carcinogens from precursors, and those that suppress cancerous changes in cells previously exposed to carcinogens. D-Glucarate is a naturally occurring, immune stimulant found in fruits and vegetables. D-glucarate helps cellular enzymes bind to potentially cancerous compounds to eliminate them from the body before they can damage DNA. Research shows that within five hours of taking D-glucarate it begins to bind to carcinogens and prompts their elimination in the stool. D-glucarate has been shown to have chemopreventative properties against cancers of the lung, breast, prostate, and colon. Studies have also demonstrated that D-glucarate reduces the proliferation and growth of existing tumors.
Researchers have found that EGCG (epigallocatechin-3-gallate) can trick cancer cells into fragmenting their DNA, leading to apoptosis (programmed cell death). EGCG also inhibits the promotion stage of chemical carcinogenesis in the liver, and reduces levels of enzymes required for cancer cell growth. EGCG also differentiates between healthy and pathogenic cells, destroying invaders and leaving other cells alone. Ellagic acid is able to detoxify many of the toxic substances consumed through our food supply. Ellagic acid accomplishes this by blocking the metabolic activation of carcinogens such as polycyclic hydrocarbons, nitroso-containing chemicals or food preservatives, and aflatoxins (a major cause of liver cancer). Resveratrol has been shown to exert chemopreventive activity on three stages in cancer development: It halts the cellular events responsible for tumor formation; Has anti-inflammatory effects and suppresses the enzyme responsible for converting arachidonic acid to pro-inflammatory substances that stimulate tumor-cell growth; and also exhibits anti-promotion activity and plays a role in the anti-progression activity of human leukemia cells.
Dosage:
