Designed to help protect omega 3’s after they’ve been swallowed
No one doubts the value of omega 3’s to our health, but these benefits only exist if the omega 3 is not oxidised. The oils in the capsules right up to the point you swallow them have been looked after, with careful processing have been protected from oxidation with the capsule shell. But once the omega 3’s are in the bloodstream they risk being oxidised by highly reactive compounds called ‘free radicals’, turning them from good unsaturated fats into artery clogging saturated fats.
The body stops this from happening by throwing antioxidants at the free radicals to neutralize them. Many useful antioxidants are nutrients that we obtain from our food, and increasingly the effectiveness of each antioxidant is being measured in Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity (ORAC) units for comparison. Interestingly, certain plant phenolic compounds are much more effective than even the antioxidant vitamins C and E.
OracOmega® combines a healthy dose of these plant antioxidants, (from green tea, rosemary and oregano extracts), with pure fish oil, to create a unique high potency product. A daily dose of two capsules provides an impressive 2,500 ORAC units in addition to a full 760mg of omega 3’s, including 390mg of EPA and 260mg of DHA. Dosage:
