Water passes through an ultra thin, semi-permeable membrane which filters unwanted particles including sodium and lead. The result is delicious clear water.
The system can be installed by a competent DIY and will need ongoing maintenance in the form of filter changes. The Sediment Filter, Carbon Filter and post carbon filters should be replaced annually. The membrane should be changed only when needed. With soft water a membrane may last between 3 - 5 years. To work effectively the system needs a water pressure of at least 40psi and works best on a softened water supply. If connected to hard water, the membrane life may be reduced.
