Guaranteed potency
Dong Quai root (Angelica sinensis) works synergistically with Agnus Castus berries (sometimes called Chaste Tree). Both herbs are in the form of guaranteed standardised extracts, and complemented with Dong Quai whole root for complete balance.
Dong Quai is one of the most popular herbs used today for treating female conditions, both in China and America. In traditional Chinese medicine, Dong Quai is often referred to as the "female ginseng." Rich in niacin and vitamin E, Don Quai is a good source of iron, cobalt and essential oils. Popular for regulating menstruation, Dong Quai is beneficial for promoting blood flow to the reproductive organs, relieving menstrual cramps, regulating uterine contractions, and alleviating some symptoms related to menopause and PMS.
Chasteberry is also known by the names Chaste Tree, Monk's Pepper, Hemp Tree, Indian Spice, Sage Tree, Vitex, and Agnus-castus. Chasteberry has the effect of stimulating and normalizing pituitary gland functions, especially its progesterone function. It may be called an amphoteric remedy, as it can produce apparently opposite effects though in truth it is simply normalizing. It has a reputation as both an aphrodisiac and an anaphrodisiac. It will usually enable whatever is appropriate to occur. The greatest use of Chasteberry lies in normalizing the activity of female sex hormones, and it is thus indicated for dysmenorrhoea, premenstrual stress and other disorders related to hormone function. It is especially beneficial during menopausal changes.
