<<< Chart shows changes in Melatonin levels with age.
Melatonin, the hormone produced by the brain's pineal gland, is responsible for sleep and for regulating bio-rhythms. Its levels sharply decline with age. Melatonin deficiency results in many of the concerns associated with aging: sleep dysfunction, increased stress-related diseases, reduced levels of immunity and greater susceptibility to free radical-related diseases. We provide a pharmaceutical-grade melatonin supplement which is refrigerated until shipment to assure maximum potency and freshness. Melatonin should not be used by pregnant or lactating women, nor by individuals under the age of 30 unless directed by a physician. Recommended Usage: .75 mg up to 6 mg 30 to 60 minutes before retiring. For jet lag, take 30 minutes to 1 hour before you want to go to sleep either before entering a new time zone, or upon returning to your regular time zone.
