Advanced Methyl Caps provides pyridoxal-5-phosphate, the active coenzyme form of vitamin B6 that does not require liver activation. Methylcobalamin, the most neurologically active and most bioavailable form of vitamin B12, has been included in this formulation to help maximize homocysteine control.
A renegade amino acid called homocysteine is a potent threat to arterial and heart health that rivals oxidized LDL cholesterol. This wasn’t discovered yesterday, but 30 years ago by a renowned Harvard pathologist named Kilmer McCulley, M.D.. Instead of the Nobel Prize for Medicine which he should have immediately earned, he had his grant funding pulled and was essentially fired from Harvard. Dr. McCulley has now been tapped to lecture across the country about the dangers of elevated homocysteine and what doctors can do about it.
Homocysteine is formed as a derangement of methionine metabolism. Incidence of high homocysteine levels show up in several groupings. 30% of the elderly have high homocysteine, as do 29% of vegetarians, 5% of omnivores and 13 to 47% of symptomatic atherosclerosis patients.
Dosage:
