St Johns Wort has traditionally been used in Asia and Europe to support your body in fighting depression. Other historical uses include nervous conditions such as anxiety, sleep disorders, inflammation and bacterial infections. St Johns wort side effects are very minimal.
To date, the only clinical proof of St. John’s Wort’s therapeutic efficacy has come from preparations that are standardised on hypericin. It is this compound that is used as the standardisation marker in our St. John’s Wort. Each tablet supplies 1000µg hypericin. Most other one-a-day products supply just 900µg hypericin!
St John's Wort (Hypericum perforatum) is a perennial plant native to many parts of the world, including European countries and the USA. It prefers sunny areas and has numerous bright yellow flowers.
Dosage
1 tablet daily with a meal.
