What are Free Radicals and Antioxidants?
Free radicals are highly reactive molecules that react with and damage cells throughout the body. Research has shown that they can be responsible for causing cardiovascular disease, cancer, neurological disorders, cataracts, arthritis, aging and many other conditions.
Antioxidants are substances that neutralize the “bad” effects of free radicals. Many researchers believe that by supplementing with extra antioxidants you can dramatically reduce free radical damage or oxidative stress, prevent and delay the onset of chronic degenerative diseases, and possibly extend your lifespan.
More Doctors Choose Antioxidants
More doctors take antioxidants than asprin as a way to prevent heart attacks, according to a study published recently in the American Journal of Cardiology. Out of 181 members of the American College of Cardiology, 44 percent take antioxidents to prevent heart disease while 42 percent take asprin; 28 percent take both daily. Vitamin E is the most commonly used antioxident vitamin among doctors (39%) followed by vitamin C (33%) and beta carotene (19%).

Betasec™ Antioxidant
60 tabs
Product Code: LB8444 | |
There's powerful antioxidants in plant materials
The main antioxidants, such as selenium, and the vitamins A, C and E were assumed to be the main weapons with which our bodies fight ‘free radicals’. New research has shown there to be equally powerful antioxidants in plant materials such as grapeseed, green tea and rosemary and these are combined in Betasec™. We’ve combined effective levels of the standard antioxidant nutrients, plus some of the best sources of natural plant antioxidants, all presented in a concentrated extract form.

Time Release Vitamin C 1000mg
60 tabs, 180 Caps
Product Code: LB8134 | |
A gradual release!
Our daily requirement for vitamin C is higher than for any other water-soluble vitamin. Ideally, vitamin C needs to be taken in small amounts throughout the day and night because it is rapidly lost from the body. However, this is not always convenient which is why we have Time Release Vitamin C tablets (the vitamin C is gradually released over 6 hours) making the product longer acting.
